After gaining massive attention online following the death of her grandson Brian Chira, his grandmother, popularly known as Shosh Esther, has reportedly set a Ksh 60,000 fee for media interviews.
Her recent absence from a scheduled appearance on Obinna TV sparked speculation among fans. Media personality Obidan Dela later claimed that she did not attend the interview because her management team requested payment before confirming the booking.
According to Dela, Esther now considers herself a brand and believes that charging for interviews is part of building her profile and credibility. He quoted her as saying that if she wants to rank among Kenya’s top brand influencers, her name must carry value — and that includes setting fees for appearances.
