The death of the controversial Kenyan Bishop Johanna has sparked widespread discussion across social media platforms in Kenya. Reports confirm that the bishop gained notoriety online after a video surfaced, allegedly depicting him engaging in inappropriate behavior while praying for a woman.
In response to the bishop’s passing, Kikuyu Gospel musician Karangu wa Muraya expressed his condolences on social media. He also revealed that the bishop sought forgiveness before his death.
The bishop’s reputation was already under scrutiny following the release of a controversial video in which he was accused of shifting from spiritual matters to making inappropriate comments about women’s undergarments. MP Alice Ng’ang’a voiced her disappointment, stating, “While genuine Christians seek spiritual growth and aspire to reach the Kingdom of Heaven, it is disheartening to witness Bishop Johanna’s involvement in discussions about women’s undergarments. Such behavior is unacceptable and warrants serious reflection. Huyu kwake kwema ni Kamiti.”
Ng’ang’a conveyed a sense of betrayal on behalf of the Christian community, emphasizing that spiritual leaders should focus on faith rather than engaging in inappropriate discussions.
The video in question showed the bishop allegedly praying for an evil spirit to leave a woman while inappropriately touching her in sensitive areas. Despite the controversy, the woman later claimed to have experienced a miracle from the bishop’s prayer.
