Baringo Man Allegedly Kills His Two-Year-Old Daughter So That He can Marry a Lawyer

Baringo County is currently in the grip of a chilling pursuit, as local authorities endeavor to capture a man named Alex Kisale, who is accused of a horrific crime – the alleged murder of his two-year-old daughter and the subsequent burning of her remains in an attempt to conceal evidence.

The motive behind this heinous act, as unveiled during the ongoing investigation, is shockingly trivial. Kisale contends that his young daughter inadvertently thwarted his chances of marrying a lawyer he had fallen in love with.

The child’s mother, 18-year-old Winnie Cherono, tearfully recounted the heart-wrenching events that transpired over the past two months, ultimately culminating in her daughter’s disappearance.

The nightmare commenced on August 21, 2023, when Winnie visited Kisale in Sesoi village, Baringo North. During this visit, Kisale requested to care for their two-year-old daughter for a span of two days. However, when Winnie contacted Kisale the following morning to inquire about her daughter’s well-being, she received a shocking revelation. Kisale informed her that he had taken their child to his sister’s house.

Fearing for her daughter’s safety, Winnie’s frantic attempts to reclaim her child proved fruitless, compelling her to involve the police.

Subsequently, Kisale, a pharmacist by profession, was apprehended on September 27 and presented before the Kabarnet Court on October 2. Surprisingly, he was granted bail. However, the situation took a dark turn when the suspect failed to appear in court on October 9, as required, to produce the missing two-year-old as per the court’s order.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has reportedly discovered what is believed to be the remains of the minor. These remains were found abandoned in Saimo Soi Forest and are awaiting further examination in a post-mortem procedure.

The grieving family is vehemently demanding justice and the immediate apprehension of the suspect, who is still at large.
