Experts say that revenge or “deliberate infection” narratives often stem from deep emotional trauma, bitterness, or the lack of proper counseling after diagnosis. Such behavior not only endangers the lives of others but also contributes to the continued spread of HIV/AIDS despite years of public awareness and medical progress.
Health professionals emphasize that being HIV-positive is not the end of life. With access to antiretroviral therapy (ART), people living with HIV can lead healthy, fulfilling lives and cannot transmit the virus when their viral load is undetectable.
