Sakaja in trouble as Alai says-By next week we will file the motion to Impeach Sakaja. We have already collected enough signatures.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja could be staring at an impeachment battle after Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai announced plans to table a motion against him.

Speaking to the media, Alai claimed that the required number of signatures has already been collected and that the motion to impeach the governor will be filed next week.

Although Alai did not disclose specific grounds for the proposed impeachment, he insisted that the move is backed by a section of Nairobi MCAs who are dissatisfied with the county’s leadership.

Governor Sakaja has yet to issue an official response regarding the claims.

The development sets the stage for a potential political showdown at the Nairobi County Assembly, as impeachment proceedings could significantly reshape the county’s leadership if formally tabled and debated.
