The whole of Africa stands with Somalis in America and we condemn Donald Trump over his utterances.-Alinur Mohhamed

Kenyan politician and community activist Alinur Mohamed has issued a strong statement criticizing former U.S. President Donald Trump over remarks he made about Somalis living in the United States. According to Alinur, Trump’s recent comments were disrespectful, divisive, and targeted an entire community that has contributed immensely to American society.

In his bold response, Alinur stated that Africa as a continent stands united with the Somali community, both in America and across the world. He condemned Trump for what he described as “irresponsible utterances” that risk fueling discrimination and negative stereotypes.

“The whole of Africa stands with Somalis in America and we condemn Donald Trump over his utterances,” Alinur said, emphasizing that Africans will not remain silent when any community within the diaspora is unfairly attacked or profiled.

Alinur argued that Somalis in the United States are hardworking, entrepreneurial, and peaceful people who deserve respect and equal treatment. He noted that the community has established businesses, taken part in public service, and strengthened local economies across various states. According to him, no leader—current or former—has the right to demean them.

He further urged African leaders, ambassadors, and activists to speak up whenever African communities abroad face discrimination or political targeting. Alinur emphasized that unity among African nations and their diasporas is not optional but necessary in today’s global environment.

His remarks have sparked reactions online, with many Africans praising him for defending the Somali community. Others said Trump’s comments were blown out of proportion but agreed that African leaders must always protect their citizens living abroad.

The debate continues to unfold on social media, with African voices rallying behind the message of solidarity and respect.
