A Nairobi man has shared painful details about how he discovered unsettling truths about his late wife, Monica, who died alongside their three children earlier this year.
Junior Wa Githogoro, who returned home one evening in February to the heartbreaking scene of his wife and children lying lifeless, revealed that he had received a disturbing message a year before the tragedy.
According to Junior, a woman reached out to him through Facebook Messenger and claimed that Monica was involved in a secret affair.
He recalled that the woman asked if he was Monica’s husband, and after he confirmed, she expressed pity for him, saying there was something happening that he was unaware of.
Githogoro said the woman later called him, mentioning his full name and even his residence.
She went on to reveal that her husband, who worked along Ngong Road where Monica was also employed, had identified Monica as his second wife.
Junior explained that the woman told him she had receipts for items her husband had purchased for Monica.
He added that he was shocked because everything she described was indeed in his house, and she further insisted that her husband had already declared Monica as his second wife.
Despite the shocking claims, Junior never expected that months later he would lose his entire family.
He says Monica left behind an envelope labelled “Special Documents,” neatly arranged with IDs and certificates, but no explanation for her actions.
The grieving father says he still struggles to understand why Monica ended her life and those of their three children, leaving him with unanswered questions and memories of a love that ended in tragedy.
