Kenyan comedian and media personality Oga Obinna has revealed why he did not attend Mulamwah’s recent comedy show. According to Obinna, he wasn’t invited and had even been blocked on Instagram by Mulamwah.
Obinna said he only found out about the event online, like everyone else, and was surprised to learn that he had been blocked, which kept him unaware of the show.
Later, Mulamwah confirmed that he had indeed blocked Obinna. He explained that the decision came after an incident involving a joke by fellow comedian Akinyi, which compared Mulamwah’s son to the late Papa Shirandula.
Mulamwah said he found the joke offensive, especially because Obinna laughed at it. He stated that the laughter crossed a personal line and led him to cut ties with Obinna and other content creators like Dem Wa Facebook.
“He laughed at a joke that was clearly disrespectful to my son. That’s where I drew the line,” Mulamwah said.
The matter has sparked conversations about boundaries in comedy and personal respect among entertainers. Obinna has not yet responded to Mulamwah’s explanation.
