Siaya: Mud-hut Airbnb Charging Ksh 3,000 Per Night pictures

Kenyans often seek a break from the hustle and bustle of cities like Nairobi by escaping to tranquil spots or the growing number of Airbnbs in suburban areas. These retreats offer a serene environment, providing a chance to unwind and experience a homely stay, whether for a night or a weekend.

One Airbnb in particular has caught the eye for its distinctive charm and features. Situated in Siaya County, this rustic mud cottage offers a one-bedroom accommodation that transports guests back in time, offering a glimpse of life before the advent of modern stone buildings.

Available at Ksh 3,000 per night, the cottage is eco-friendly, with all electricity sourced from solar panels. It can accommodate two guests and, despite its traditional look, comes with modern comforts like a television, radio, lighting, and charging stations for smartphones, ensuring a relaxing and convenient stay.

Since opening its doors in January 2022, the cottage has provided guests with access to a gas cooker and essential cooking supplies, allowing them to prepare their meals. A double bed with a mosquito net ensures a peaceful night’s sleep. Check-in is from 12 PM to 6 PM, and check-out is from 8 AM to 11 AM. The property is family-friendly, offering a spacious play area that also serves as a parking space. However, pets and smoking are prohibited on the premises.

The cancellation policy requires guests to cancel at least 60 days in advance for a full refund. Cancellations made at least four weeks before check-in will receive a 50% refund. No refunds are offered for cancellations made outside these timeframes.
