‘I was shocked!’ Shix Kapienga recounts being hit by car driven by disabled driver

Renowned actress and radio personality, Shix Kapienga, recently opened up about a harrowing incident that instilled profound fear and anxiety within her, an experience that remains etched in her memory.

Recalling the unnerving event, Kapienga described the moment she was involved in a car accident while crossing the road after a quick lunch break on her way back to the studio. The incident unfolded unexpectedly, catching her off guard and leaving her in a state of shock that she admits has lingered with her since.

Narrating the details of the incident, she shared, “I was struck by a Nissan while crossing the road, just an hour away from returning to the studio. I had crossed to purchase some items, and out of nowhere, this car emerged and collided with me. I vividly remember lying on the ground as a car passed over my leg. It was a shocking experience, unparalleled in my life.”

Identified by her real name, Nancy Wanjiku Karanja, Kapienga expressed that despite the severity of her condition, she found herself empathizing with the driver who had caused the accident.

“When the driver, who happened to be elderly, stepped out of the car, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. He, too, seemed unwell, limping on one leg. It was a conflicting moment for me because, despite the pain from being hit, I felt a sense of sympathy for him,” Kapienga shared.

Shix Kapienga, known for her versatility as an actor, comedian, and influencer, has also made a mark as a radio and TV presenter. One of her recent endeavors includes her involvement in the comedy film “Baba Twins,” available on Showmax. Despite the challenges she faced, Kapienga continues to contribute to the entertainment industry with her diverse talents.
