The Kirinyaga Governor in a statement seen by muranganewspaper.co.ke finally finally agreed that the ruling Jubilee party has lost its former glory.
The governor said that Jubilee Party needs a massive re-energizement if it hopes to stay strong ahead of the 2022 general elections.
“The rains have beaten us. Our fortunes are dwindling. Intense introspection is demanded,” she said.The governor urged the Party’s leadership to come up with working strategies and redeem itself to its former glory,” Waiguru said.
“Our outlook and strategies must suit the times and so we must be willing to step off our comfort zones and embrace new ways of thinking and doing,” she added.
“We must also be pragmatic and re-open both the sides and back of the tent for people to enter and re-enter,” she stated.
This comes amidst in-house party wrangles topping with a section of its members joining the UDA party which is associated with Deputy President, William Ruto.
