Ken Mijungu To Victoria Rubadiri after CNN job:I Always Knew Your Star Was Very Bright

Ken Mijungu, a news anchor at Standard Media Group, has penned a celebratory message for former Citizen TV news anchor Victoria Rubadiri. He took to his Instagram page to share his congratulations with Rubadiri on her recent job opportunity with CNN.

Mijungu shared nostalgic pictures of their time together as news anchors at Nation Media Group, highlighting their camaraderie both on and off camera.

Victoria Rubadiri embarked on her journalism journey in 2003 after completing her Broadcast Journalism Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. She has since garnered experience working with various public relations firms before joining Capital FM.

In 2020, Rubadiri’s dedication and talent were recognized when she won the prestigious 2020 BBC News Komla Dumor Award, propelling her journalism career to new heights. After six fruitful years with Royal Media Services, she has now joined CNN as a TV show host.

Ken Mijungu, along with other respected media personalities, joined in celebrating Rubadiri’s achievement and wished her success in this new chapter of her career.

“Huyu I will celebrate her achievements. @Victoria_Rubadiri congratulations my friend. I always knew your star was very bright. I remember one time when Vicky and I were on set, she forgot my name offline and during her intro, she decided to introduce me as ‘MenKijungu’ instead of Ken Mijungu because that’s what she called me. Congratulations and represent! Sharing some throwback pics because the only time you should look back is when you want to see how far you have come,” he wrote.
