2020 KCPE Top Student Unable To Raise High School Fees.

Faith Mumo was over the moon after the ministry of Education named her as the 2020 KCPE top student countrywide.

Her dream of joining high school, however are at risk due to lack of school fees and she may fail to report to her dream school.

Mumo was selected to join Kenya High School after scoring 433 marks in the 2020 Kenya Certificate Of Primary Education (KCPE).

The 14-year-old who sat for her exams at the Kari Mwailu Primary School might not see her dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon come true.

Her father, Paul Mumo said that the family is unable to raise the needed amount for her school fees and other admission requirements.

“There are several people and corporate organizations and private organizations and leaders who promised to support us but have since gone silent,” he explained.

He added that they require ksh120,000 for her to join form one.

He also stated that he is unable to raise the money since he lost his job as an accountant in 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
