Several groups of women from Kalonzo’s home County have made it clear they won’t support Raila Odinga rather their son Kalonzo Musyoka. The women are clear they do not support Raila’s move to pick Martha Karua as his running mate against their son Kalonzo Musyoka who has stood with him for the last ten years.
The women moved across the counties of the Lower Eastern region chanting against Raila Odinga. Most are shocked Raila picked Karua a person who doesn’t have numbers or support in the Mt Kenya region block and left out their leader who has been loyal to him for more than ten years.
This is a big blow to the former premier Raila Odinga as he is now being seen as a person who betrayed the Lower Eastern region especially the Kamba community. The fact of the matter is that, the deputy President William Ruto is also likely to benefit a lot from the Lower Eastern votes against Raila Odinga owing to the recent events.
However as always, let’s wait and see of what will happen in Azimio outfit especially in Kalonzo’s backyard. It’s already a fact the Lower Eastern region block doesn’t want to see anything called Raila after he betrayed their leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
