Garissa Township MP, Aden Duale caused drama in Parliament after he made a rather controversial statement during Parliament proceedings.
This was when the lawmakers were discussing matters National security on county levels that has seen a rise of insecurities in the Northern Kenya.
A seemingly angry Duale took issues with Kisumu County Woman Representative, Rozzah Buyu saying,
Those of us who do not come from Northern Kenya, kindly, please don’t play party politics. Don’t shout at me, I am not your boyfriend
The statement made normal Parliament proceedings interrupted for minutes while Buyu took to the floor to comment on the same.
Madam speaker, is the Honorable Member in order to suggest that I, Rozaah Buyu want him as a boyfriend?
She questioned.
Duale was then forced to withdraw the statement and apologized to an angry Buyu.
Buyu then continued and asked Duale to clarify on who he was referring to as his girlfriend.
However, the MP said that Buyu should stop shouting at him while he was aring his sentiments on National security.
