“Umeskia Nalala Njaa?” Edday Nderitu Angrily Fires At Critics Who Questioned Her TikTok Post

Edday Nderitu’s recent TikTok post sparked quite a bit of controversy, with some accusing her of seeking sympathy. Edday, a mother of three, decided to share a video of herself singing a gospel song on her TikTok account.

The song she chose to sing conveyed the message that the way Jesus left Earth is the same way he will return. It emphasized that Jesus ascended to heaven to prepare a place for Christians, and when the time is right, he will return.

This post did not go unnoticed, and it drew criticism from some viewers who believed that Edday was using the song to garner sympathy from the Kenyan public. Their comments on the video caught her attention.

One critic made a comment on Edday’s TikTok post, suggesting that she was singing for sympathy, saying, “Sympathy songs. Team Karen forever mimi.”

In response to this accusation, Edday, who now resides in the United States with her three children, vehemently fired back at the critic, questioning whether she needed sympathy because she was going hungry. Edday retorted, “Sympathy juu umeskia nalala njaa?”

Edday’s journey to the United States began in May 2023, and it’s apparent that she has no immediate plans to return to Kenya. Upon her arrival in the U.S., she was graciously hosted by Bernice Saroni at her home in Boston, Massachusetts.

In August, Edday made an announcement, revealing that she had enrolled her children in schools in the United States, emphasizing her commitment to their education.

Then, in early September, Edday shared the news that she had secured a new job and was in the process of moving into her own house, signifying a positive turning point in her life’s journey.
