Stevo Simple Boy’s spouse, Grace Atieno, has disclosed that her husband is currently facing significant hardships. In an interview conducted by Vincent Mboya, Grace expressed that Stevo has been unable to release new music due to the challenging circumstances he is going through.
According to Grace, Stevo’s management has taken control of his social media platforms, restricting his freedom to engage with others online and denying him access to the earnings generated from his music. She further explained that the management oversees his social media accounts, phone calls, bank accounts, and even his mobile money transactions (Mpesa), essentially having control over every aspect of his life.
Grace shared that Stevo, being a reserved individual, has been taken advantage of by his management company, Men in Business, and as a result, he is not reaping any benefits from his music. Moreover, he is unable to seek alternative employment as music is his chosen career path.
This challenging situation has cornered the musician, and at times they struggle to meet their basic needs, including food.
“People may perceive Stevo as leading a comfortable life, but the reality is quite the opposite. He is truly battling through adversity, with his management exploiting him in various ways. He does not derive any benefits from his music and is devoid of control over his social media accounts as well. We are currently working on establishing new accounts for him, hoping that things will improve and he can eventually sever ties with his management,” Grace explained.
Grace also expressed their willingness to accept financial assistance and any other form of support that fans may be able to offer to help the musician during this difficult period.
