Kenyan artist Stevo Simple Boy, renowned for his distinctive style and straightforward lyrics, has hinted at the possibility of rekindling his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Atieno, despite the challenges they faced over the past year.
In a recent interview on Radio Maisha, Stevo opened up about his enduring love for Grace and expressed his desire to reconcile. He shared that he has been actively seeking to repair their relationship, revealing his hope for a fresh start.
The couple’s relationship first made headlines a year ago when Stevo publicly announced that Grace had cheated on him and was pregnant with another man’s child. This revelation led to their separation, as Stevo chose to step away from the relationship due to the pain and embarrassment he experienced. However, it appears that time has allowed some wounds to heal, and Stevo is now reconsidering his stance.
During the radio interview, Stevo disclosed that he has begun discussions with Grace’s family to pave the way for a potential reunion. “We want things to be okay. Right now, we are in talks, me and her family, and then we’ll see if she will come back,” he explained, showing his commitment to making amends.
Addressing the issue of infidelity, Stevo explained, “According to our Christian faith, we say a mistake is not a mistake, repeating it is the real mistake… I have forgiven her, I have nothing against her, and I love her.”
Stevo also mentioned that he felt guided by the Holy Spirit in his decision to forgive Grace and reconsider their relationship. He revealed that Grace had kept certain secrets from him, including the fact that the child she was expecting was not his.
“According to me, girls these days open their eyes when they make a mistake. When it was time for her to give birth, things changed,” he said.
