ODM Distances Itself From The Ksh 1M Dinner Per Plate Fundraiser.

The Orange Democratic Movement Party has dismissed any involvement in a poster making rounds on social media where the party was inviting Kenyans for a Ksh 1 million dinner per plate charge.

The poster which was published on Thursday, 3 December had invited Kenyans to Villa Rosa Kempinski hotel for a fundraiser to help Raila get campaign funds.

However, Raila’s Spokesperson speaking to a local daily has chided the poster saying that there is no such a thing.

“Did we announce a dinner…. kindly check with them,” said while referring to the ODM legislators who shared the posters on their social media accounts.

As earlier reported by Murang’a Newspaper, Orange Democratic Movement Party Leader, Raila Odinga will be holding a fundraiser to help him raise funds for his campaigns.

Inviting members of the Public, Raila said that the event will be held at Kempinski Hotel, Nairobi on December 7, 2021.

In the invite card seen by Murang’a Newspaper, each person attended the dinner will be required to donate Ksh 1 million.

Confirming this, Embakasi MP, Babu Owino stated that the youths will be attending the extravagant event and will readily support Odinga.

“As the Kenyan youth, we have analysed and concluded that our future and that of our children can only be safe in the hands of Baba and for that reason, we will invest in him.”

“Come on 7th December at Kempinski at 6 pm and enjoy Dinner with Baba. We will contribute Ksh1 million each towards Baba’s campaign,” Babu said.
