Obinna, Joho Reveals Plan to Open Music Studio, Artists to Record Songs for Free

YouTuber Oga Obinna has revealed plans to open a music studio aimed at supporting upcoming artists. In a conversation with CS for Mining, Ali Hassan Joho, Obinna shared that the studio would offer free recording services for artists, eliminating the recording fees that often hinder many from pursuing their music careers.

Obinna explained that many emerging artists often reach out to him, seeking financial assistance to record their music. Recognizing the growing demand, he decided to take the initiative and open a studio to help.

Ali Hassan Joho, the former Mombasa governor, expressed his full support for Obinna’s project, promising to provide financial backing. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in fostering Kenya’s entertainment industry.

“I am truly passionate about this studio project,” Obinna shared with Joho. “I want artists to be able to record for free. Many artists approach me asking for studio fees, but then the support doesn’t always last.”

Joho, acknowledging the importance of such a project, assured Obinna of his support, not only financially but also in building a sustainable platform for artists. He also took the opportunity to highlight the recent success of Willy Paul’s performance at the Furaha City Festival, urging Kenyans to continue backing their homegrown talent.

“Did you see how Pozee dominated at the festival? It was incredible! We owe it to him and all our artists to support them,” Joho said, praising local talents.

Joho further proposed an ambitious vision, suggesting the creation of a full-fledged production house that would go beyond just providing studio space. He envisions a hub that would help with both music production and marketing, giving Kenyan artists the opportunity to reach global audiences.

“We can build something not just for profit but for the growth of our artists. I am grateful for the business blessings in my life and excited to partner with you, Obinna, to develop our talents,” Joho said. “Let’s build a platform for artists who can sing, perform, and make it on the global stage. We have incredible talent here.”
