On Monday, Esther Akoth, the Kenyan musician and entrepreneur popularly known as Akothee, engaged in a tree-planting activity while donning a striking short red dress. Akothee, who has faced challenges in her personal life, shared a video showcasing her appreciation for the dress, emphasizing that it was among the numerous gifts she received at her wedding earlier in the year.
In the video, Akothee conveyed her gratitude to the individual who bestowed the dress upon her, acknowledging their presence at her wedding despite the subsequent challenges. She expressed, “The beautiful girl in a red tiny dress. This was one of my wedding gifts. Thank you so much to the gifter, even though the game is over, I am still yours.”
Akothee’s appearance in the red dress follows the recent confirmation of the end of her brief marriage to Denis ‘Omosh’ Schweizer. The 43-year-old artist disclosed the separation during a live session with her fans on social media.
In this session, Akothee shared that she terminated her marriage in June while still on her honeymoon with Omosh. She stated, “I have moved on from those relationships. They don’t exist anymore. I want to tell you that I got out of that relationship in June. However, I will not explain in detail.”
Despite the dissolution of her marriage, Akothee maintains a positive perspective on the situation. She affirmed, “I enjoyed my marriage, I enjoyed my wedding. I don’t regret anything. I had my wedding on my birthday, so if things went wrong, like they did, then I wouldn’t have any regrets.”
