Bahati and Diana Marua have shared their lives together since 2017, although they haven’t officially tied the knot yet.
Their journey began in July 2016 when Bahati was filming the music video for his song ‘Mapenzi,’ and that’s when he crossed paths with Diana.
In a discreet traditional ceremony held on October 20, 2017, the couple marked their union, albeit not legally binding.
This year, on October 20, they commemorated their 7th anniversary.
As part of their celebration, Bahati pledged to marry Diana in a formal white wedding, originally scheduled for December 12, 2023.
Regrettably, the anticipated wedding did not materialize, leading to Diana publicly expressing her desire to formalize their union.
In a recent post, she shared affectionate photos with Bahati, articulating her eagerness to say “I do” in a white wedding.
“I can’t wait for the day I’ll say yes I do to my best friend. I Love You Baby ❤️ 2024 is gonna be #THEBAHATIS year 💍💃🏻,” Diana Marua expressed.
In October 2023, Bahati fulfilled the customary dowry payment during a vibrant ruracio ceremony, committing to a December wedding.
The discreet traditional dowry ceremony, ‘ruracio,’ took place at an undisclosed location, with notable figures like Milly Chebby and Terence Creative attending.
Despite the initial plans for a December 12, 2023 wedding, the white wedding was unexpectedly postponed without a set date.
