KAMEME FM and INOORO FM FAKE lotteries still on despite government ban

Kameme and Inooro FM stations have opposed the government ban on lotteries and they are as yet running the fake lottery programs on their radio stations.

On Friday, the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) banished all radio broadcasts from running lottery programs except only if they secure approvals.

In an articulation, BCLB chief P.K Mbugi claimed that the board was alarmed by illicit unions between license holders and radio stations to run lotteries on their behalf.

Mbugi contended that it is against the Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act for a media house to run such lotteries.

However, in spite of the ban, Kameme FM, which is owned by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Inooro FM owned by SK Macharia, are as yet running the lotteries with impunity.

Inooro FM is well known for a fake lottery program called Pigwa Jeki while Kameme is famous for Kuza Bizna among other phony lottery programs.
