Mp Samwel Arama lectures Kalenjins-Wakalenjin muache kuturingia, sio nyinyi pekee mlipigia Ruto kura ndio akuwe president. Wakikuyu ndio walimpigia kura mingi,

Siaya County MP Samwel Arama has urged Kalenjin Kenyans to stop framing President William Ruto as exclusively theirs, stressing that his rise to the presidency was supported by multiple communities across the country.

Speaking in a recent statement, Arama reminded the public that the Kikuyu, Kisii, and other ethnic groups also contributed significantly to Ruto’s victory at the polls. “Stop acting as if only Kalenjins voted him into office. The Kikuyu, Kisii, and other communities also voted, so don’t treat him as only your president,” he said.

Arama emphasized that while his community continues to support Ruto’s work in office, they maintain a stance of opposition in future politics. He described this as a way to ensure accountability and uphold democratic principles.

The comments come amid ongoing discussions about ethnic loyalty and political ownership, a recurring theme in Kenya’s political landscape. Many Kenyans have taken to social media to weigh in, with some agreeing with Arama’s call for inclusivity, while others insist ethnic pride will continue to shape political narratives.
