One of Kenya’s most prominent and contentious celebrities, the former gospel musician Willy Paul, known by his alias Mwana Mukunaji, has recently made a candid revelation about his decision to remain unmarried.
Willy Paul, who has occupied the spotlight for quite some time and has been embroiled in numerous controversies involving women, including Diana Marua, has announced that he has no intention of getting married and believes it is best for him to maintain his current status.
In a conversation with Vincent Mboya during an interview, Willy Paul cited the unfaithfulness of contemporary women as the primary reason behind his choice to abstain from marriage. He expressed his concern that in this era, the likelihood of a spouse being unfaithful is alarmingly high. He succinctly echoed a popular saying among Nairobi residents, “Nairobi is one big bedroom.”
Willy Paul firmly stated, “I have no interest in tying the knot. You get married, only to discover that your wife is actually someone else’s wife.”
It’s worth noting that Willy Paul is already a father to one child and maintains a co-parenting relationship with his child’s mother, a situation that he finds comfortable.
Throughout his career, he has been in and out of various relationships, and there have been instances of his interactions with women garnering widespread attention on social media. While Kenyans have often hoped for him to follow the example of fellow artist Bahati and reveal his family to the public, Willy Paul has opted to keep his personal life private.
