Residents of Mulamba Village, Kitui were left in shock after a man allegedly stabbed his wife to death after she refused to give hi money for alcohol.
According to a report by the area police, the accused is said to have stabbed the wife and then hit her with a blunt object leading to her death.
It is reported that the man has been beating the wife constantly and had chased her from their home with accusations of denying him his conjugal rights.
Mary Ndunge, one of the neighbors said that she heard noise coming from the suspects house only to meet the lady’s body soaked in blood.
“I heard noise coming from their house and went to check what was going on. I was shocked beyond words after seeing the body of his wife soaked in blood,” she said.Area police have since arrested the suspect with investigations underway.
