A lady from Koboiywo Village, Bungoma County is currently receiving treatment at the Kitale Referral Hospital after she was shot by a man who allegedly mistook her for wanted cop killer, Caroline Kangongo.
The lady identified as Phanice Chemutai Juma is said to have been shot in the abdomen by one Ken Muyundo at the Kiminini Market, Trans-Nzoia, Yesterday, July 8.
The man according to a police report said that the lady had been calling him frequently asking for a meet-up adding that they had never meet neither did he know her.
He said that he suspected that Chemutai was Caroline Kangongo, who is accused of Killing two men in Nakuru and Kiambu.
The lady upon interrogations saidd that the two had met in the past and exchanged numbers andd she has been trying to get Muyundo to meet her with no success.
Muyundo has since been arrested with the lady still recovering from the gun shot.
