Akothee, the Kenyan singer also known as Esther Akoth, has fulfilled her dream of getting married on her birthday. The self-proclaimed president of single mothers has wished for this moment for a long time and finally achieved it on her 40th birthday. The grand wedding was invite-only and is currently taking place at the Windsor Golf Hotel in Nairobi. Akothee and her partner, Dennis ‘Omosh’ Schweizer, will exchange vows to love and cherish each other until death does them part.
Numerous dignitaries attended the wedding, including Kisumu First Lady Madam Dorothy Nyong’o, who provided Akothee with marriage lessons. Akothee shared last year that she aspires to be loving, patient, and humble like her mentor, Mama Lupita, in her next marriage. Migori First Lady Dr. Agnes Ayacko, former Mombasa gubernatorial candidate Suleiman Shahbal, and High Court advocate Professor PLO Lumumba also graced the event. Professor Lumumba was the guest of honour at the inauguration of Akothee’s book.
Other notable guests include media personality Janet Mbugua, comedian Timothy Kimani (also known as Njugush), radio presenter Alex Mwakideu, Syombua Osiany, and actress Sandra Dacha, who played a significant role in planning the wedding. Lang’ata MP Felix Odiwuor, alias Jalang’o, served as the designated chauffeur and drove Akothee to the venue. The two consider each other siblings and have always supported each other.
Content creators Milly Wa Jesus and her husband, as well as TikToker Azziad Nassenya, are also expected to attend the ceremony.
