KMTC introduces Diploma in Mortuary Science course

The Diploma in Mortuary Science program has been introduced by the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

The duration of the new course is three years. However, those who already have a diploma from a respectable institution in this field will just need to complete the training program for two years.

Beginning in March 2023, the College will start to offer a diploma in mortuary science. It is the first course of its kind in East and Central Africa, according to KMTC.

Those who have a certificate in the same field from another respectable university may participate in year two of the training program, which lasts three years.

The new programme will begin taking students in March 2023. A C- on the KCSE will suffice as the minimum grade.

Students who are interested in enrolling in the new course must submit an application using the college’s official student portal, according to KMTC.

According to KMTC’s announcement, stakeholders from the Ministry of Health, the University of Nairobi, the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and the Masinde Muliro University collaborated to establish the new course’s curriculum.
