Former Kiss 100 radio host, Kamene Goro, has reiterated her stance on not wanting children in a recent interview. When questioned about what she would teach her potential offspring regarding gender equality, she firmly stated that she does not intend to become a parent.
In her own words, Kamene expressed, “Kids are not a part of my life plan. It seems like a daunting responsibility,” and she indicated that she doesn’t foresee a change of heart on this matter.
The former TV presenter went on to elaborate on her decision, citing the substantial sacrifices and financial commitments associated with raising children. She mentioned the costs of education, healthcare, and other related expenses as factors that contribute to her choice. Moreover, Kamene emphasized that even witnessing the charm of adorable children does not sway her desire to have one of her own, remarking, “It’s a matter of vanity. I don’t envision having a mini version of myself; what purpose would it serve?”
Kamene also shared her perspective on parenting, revealing that she has fulfilled her share of caregiving responsibilities and now desires to relish her life without the obligations of motherhood. She stated, “I’ve spent a significant portion of my life looking after others, and now I want the freedom to focus on myself for as long as I desire.”

Kamene further discussed the freedom she enjoys by not having children. She emphasized the time-consuming nature of the pregnancy journey and how not having kids allows her the liberty to pursue her desires whenever she pleases. Kamene spoke about the benefits of her current lifestyle, highlighting the absence of significant responsibilities and the ability to make spontaneous decisions without hindrance. She emphasized, “The entire nine-month pregnancy ordeal appears to be a considerable commitment, and I’ve heard it can be quite daunting. From the labor process to all the other aspects, it’s not an easy journey. I want full control over my life, to wake up one day and decide, ‘I want to visit Zanzibar.'”
