Kiambu: Sad News as Schoolgirl Is Raped by Her Father Before Mother Burns Her with Boiling Water

Cases of fathers assaulting their daughters have been on the rise in many parts of the Republic of Kenya.

The most recent incident happened in Mwihoko Estate in the Ruiru area of Kiambu County.

Credible reports reaching our news desk from Citizen TV reveal that an 11-year-old girl is nursing injuries after being raped by her father and later burnt with hot water by her mother to hide evidence of the father’s regular assaults.

Images shared by Citizen TV showed the girl’s body severely burnt, with her skin peeling from the waist to the knees.

The extent of the assault has left her demoralised, and she currently experiences intense pain whenever she attempts to walk.

It is reported that the father had been assaulting his daughter for a long time.

When the girl reported the matter to her mother, the latter burnt her with boiling water in a fit of rage.

The girl and her sister were thrown into the streets by their mother, leaving them to suffer as street children.

For the past two years, the girl was assaulted by her father and threatened with death if she revealed the ordeal to her mother.

It is reported that after the girl disclosed the abuse to her mother, the mother boiled a 20-litre jerrycan of water and poured it on her to destroy evidence before fleeing the scene to an unknown location.

Neighbours, filled with anger, are urging the government to arrest the victim’s parents and take stern action against both for assaulting the child in different ways.

We hope the victim receives justice and medical care, as she remains in deep pain and traumatised by the inhumane ordeal.
