There was jubilation at the Ministry of Holiness and Repentance, led by Prophet David Owuor, after the self-proclaimed man of God claimed to have miraculously healed a woman identified as Millicent Awino from Goma, Siaya County.
According to reports from the ministry, Millicent had been living with HIV/AIDS but was allegedly healed after Prophet Owuor made a single decree of healing during one of his services.
The ministry announced that “through the mighty decree of the Man of God, the HIV virus vanished instantly,” prompting an outpouring of praise, singing, and dancing from congregants who witnessed the event.
Members of the church celebrated the incident as proof of divine power, with testimonies and songs of thanksgiving filling the atmosphere. Many faithful described the healing as a confirmation of their Prophet’s anointing and a sign of God’s continued presence in their ministry.
However, outside the ministry, reactions have been mixed. While followers of Prophet Owuor celebrated the claimed miracle, skeptics have called for medical verification of the healing, urging transparency and scientific confirmation before the claims can be accepted as fact.
Prophet Owuor, known for his flamboyant healing crusades and large gatherings, has in the past made similar claims of miraculous healings, drawing both passionate believers and sharp critics.
The reported miracle has once again placed his ministry in the public spotlight, reigniting the debate over faith healing, medical science, and the boundaries between belief and proof.
