Mrs. Janet Nekesa, the mother of Isaac Otesa Wekesa, faced years of mockery, ridicule, and scorn before giving birth to her tall son, who has recently gained widespread fame.
Isaac recently became a sensation on social media, where many people noticed his resemblance to Bradley Marongo, also known as Gen-Z Goliath, another individual famous for his extraordinary height.
In a recent interview with an online journalist, Mrs. Janet shared that the first five years of her marriage were a struggle before Isaac’s birth.
“I was blessed with Isaac as my first child, and I rejoiced and praised God because receiving such a blessing isn’t easy. It felt miraculous, like a divine intervention, perhaps because God wanted to show His power,” Mrs. Janet recounted during an interview with Raipenda Evans.
She continued, “After I got married, I spent nearly five years without conceiving. I was looked down upon and ridiculed, but I kept my faith in God. After those five years, who but God could have blessed me? I found out I was pregnant.”
Mrs. Janet recalled giving birth at home and later taking Isaac to a clinic for a check-up.
“When he was born, he weighed five kilograms. Everyone at home was surprised, even my mother-in-law, who was amazed, saying it was nothing short of a miracle,” she said.
She expressed her happiness in having given birth to Isaac and how she raised him with few challenges.
Isaac was a healthy child who never fell ill until the age of thirteen when he had a mild case of malaria.
“I raised him here at home in Bungoma. When you look at Isaac, it’s clear that God intended to make a statement. He’s grown tall, and his body has become larger. Friends used to visit me, asking what I was feeding him. I would just say it’s God’s work,” she shared.
Mrs. Janet concluded by expressing her joy in Isaac’s growth and maturity, noting that he has now found a wife and blessed her with three grandchildren.
