Images of Somali businessman Jamal Rohosafi and female politician Sabina Wanjiru Wa Chege at his office have ignited discussions on various social media platforms.
The businessman, who is also the CEO of Huduma Credit, spent his Friday at his town offices, where he had a meeting with the former Muranga Woman Representative in what seemed to be a celebratory atmosphere.
Jamal shared the images and tagged Chege’s Instagram account, expressing, “It was nice catching up mwesh.” Despite her involvement in a foundation that sponsors needy students, Chege has not shared any images from the meeting.
One particular photo from the encounter shows Chege leaning onto Jimal’s office desk, reaching in to touch his face, drawing attention due to its suggestive nature.
The somewhat intimate image raised questions about the nature of their connection. The caption accompanying the photo led to a plethora of comments from social media users, including one individual who wrote “Mkuu,” a term used by men to express approval and dominance over others.
Jamal seemed to welcome the comments, as he gladly reposted them, possibly indicating his amusement at the influx of reactions.
However, the post also received negative feedback from observant Kenyans, particularly from the Muslim community, who criticized them for sitting on a Quran.
Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi shared a post criticizing the former fiancée of Amber Ray, stating, ‘Literally sitting on the Quran. Maybe he wanted it as a witness.’
Lord Abraham Mutai captioned the picture with a critique, describing it as ‘irresponsible.’
