Recently, Charles Njagua Kanyi, widely known as Jaguar, a veteran musician and current CAS, found himself compelled to address speculations regarding his alleged paternity of Tanzanian socialite and entrepreneur Hamisa Mobeto’s son, Dylan. Netizens on social media had heightened rumors, prompting the former MP to break his silence on the matter.
Observant Kenyans took to social media, pointing out the striking resemblance between Jaguar and Dylan. One Kenyan emphasized the undeniable similarity in their faces, stating, “Huyu hata hawezi kataa… sura zenyewe zinafanana,” affirming the belief that Dylan is indeed Jaguar’s son.
Addressing the issue, Jaguar pleaded with those spreading rumors to desist from claiming that he is the father of Hamisa Mobeto’s son. He reiterated that he is not Dylan’s father and urged people to recognize that Hamisa is well aware of her child’s paternity.
“I see people tag me on his photos, but Hamisa’s son isn’t my child. I guess Hamisa knows exactly who her child’s father is,” Jaguar stated in an effort to quell the persistent rumors circulating about him.
To distance himself further from the allegations, the ‘Kigeugeu’ hitmaker declared that he would never willingly neglect his own child and deprive them of the opportunity to connect with their Kenyan siblings. Jaguar explained that he had only met the emerging Tanzanian singer twice, with their latest encounter occurring three weeks ago during Hamisa’s glamorous 29th birthday celebration in Kenya.
“Why would I neglect Dylan if he were mine and care for the others? He would be hanging out with them, don’t you think?” Jaguar added, expressing his frustration with the ongoing allegations.
The rumors surrounding Hamisa Mobeto’s son, Dylan, being Jaguar’s child began circulating on social media after the singer acknowledged fathering a child in Tanzania. While Jaguar did not disclose the mother’s identity, online detectives drew conclusions, leading to a fresh wave of rumors in 2020 when the CAS wished Dylan a happy birthday in a now-deleted Instagram post. Jaguar maintains that his relationship with the Tanzanian socialite is purely platonic, and Dylan is not his biological child.
