Crazy? Statue of Virgin Mary captured crying with its eyes turning red

Belivers in Mexico are claiming to have witnessed a miraculous occurrence at a church in El Chanal, where a statue of the Virgin Mary is said to have displayed tear-like droplets, drawing the attention of both believers and skeptics alike. Reports indicate that hundreds of individuals have gathered at the church to witness the purported tears streaming down the face of the Virgin Mary.

Numerous videos circulating on social media capture the unusual phenomenon, depicting what appears to be water droplets emanating from the statue’s eyes. One resident, identified as Ramos, likened the occurrence to human tears, explaining, “Similarly, when we cry, and our eyes become red, the same happens to the image. So a couple of tears started flowing. This is the event, the phenomenon that is happening here in the church.”

Interestingly, some individuals have connected the perceived tears to the prevalent insecurity in Colima, attributing the phenomenon to the region’s ongoing issues with violence. The convergence of spiritual and societal interpretations adds complexity to the unfolding narrative surrounding the alleged miraculous event.
