Although they enjoy a luxurious lifestyle now, Bahati and Diana Marua both came from humble backgrounds. For instance, Bahati grew up at ABC Children’s Home in the Mathare Slums, Nairobi. This was after he lost his mother when he was just 7 years old. After completing his education thanks to sponsorships, Bahati ventured into the music industry. The audience received his music well, marking the beginning of his success. He is now one of the top musicians in Kenya, thus living a luxurious lifestyle.
Just like her husband, Diana Marua grew up in a humble background. As opposed to Bahati, Marua lived with her parents. Nevertheless, they separated due to differences, and that’s when things got tough. The social media influencer had to fight her way out through poverty. After many years of hard work, she met Bahati through a friend. Diana Marua and Bahati have been engaged for 8 years. Their lifestyle has improved over the years thanks to success in their ventures.
A look Inside Their Expensive Mansion
Bahati acquired this house in 2022 as a gift to Diana Marua. According to the singer, it was always his wife’s dream to own such a home. The fully furnished house is located at Kamakis along the eastern bypass. It sits on a 50 by 100 plot of land. At the time of purchasing it, the house reportedly cost a whopping Shs.27.5 million.
Aside from its cost, the posh house features epitomized contemporary living. Its living room has a great space for entertainment and family time. Another notable feature is the open kitchen and marble countertop.
On the way to the spiral staircase, there is a white grand piano. This is where Bahati composes some of his pieces. On the upstairs, there are the six bedrooms with the master bedroom catering to the couple.
The master bedroom features a walk-in closet, a huge bathroom, and a dressing table. To make it more attractive, even during the night, it has an accent wall. The other bedrooms are meant for their four children.
Plans to Upgrade
Just recently, Bahati revealed that his wife needs an upgrade of their current house. According to him, Diana Marua feels that the house has outgrown them. This is because their eldest daughter, Mueni Bahati, asked for her own bedroom. Additionally, Marua told her husband that they shouldn’t be living in one house for over two years.
I was just talking to my wife Diana, and she was like, ‘Babe, this home is becoming boring.’ Why?… I am still thinking because she is saying the house is too small and boring. It is now old, and we should not be in one house for more than two years,—Bahati said
