Hapa boyz wangu nikama ametupa pesa – Abel’s crazy reaction after Njugush bought a matatu

Comedian and online sensation Timothy Kimani Ndegwa, better known as Njugush, alongside his wife Celestine Ndinda, have ventured into the matatu business, marking a significant milestone in their entrepreneurial journey.

The couple recently acquired a 33-seater matatu, joining the league of matatu owners in the town.

Njugush & Celestine Pay Homage to Friends with New Matatu
In a heartwarming display of friendship and camaraderie, Njugush and Celestine have adorned the interior of their matatu with pictures of some of their closest friends.

Among the featured individuals were Phil Director, Eddie Butita, Abel Mutua, and Judy Nyawira. These friends expressed their appreciation for the gesture, acknowledging Njugush and Celestine’s thoughtfulness.

However, one notable absence among the pictures inside the matatu was Abel Mutua, the husband to Judy Nyawira and a close friend of the couple.

Abel, renowned for his witty humor, jovially responded to the situation during an interview with a local media outlet.

Abel’s Reaction to Njugush & Celestine’s Matatu Decor
Abel humorously shared his thoughts on the venture, emphasizing the significance of personal branding and attention to detail in the matatu business.

He playfully commented on the absence of his picture inside the matatu, teasing Njugush and Celestine for overlooking their friendship in the décor.

In his trademark humorous manner, Abel engaged in banter, jokingly questioning the decision-making process behind the matatu’s interior design.

“Do you really think this matatu will thrive, bro? This matatu is lacking. First and foremost, you should make sure that your decorations enhance the beauty of your matatu. The director is now the talk of the town. How do you buy a matatu without putting up the director’s picture? Don’t you see there’s a problem there? There’s foul play. There’s a sacco that has put me in their matatus from top to bottom. That matatu, man, it doesn’t rest, it’s always working like this because the director is selling,” he said.

He humorously suggested that the matatu’s fortunes might improve if Njugush graced it with his image. He jokingly teased about the avocado-themed decor inside the vehicle, wondering about its relevance in the absence of his picture.

“But now, he has put avocado. How do you put avocado without the director’s picture inside? What kind of business is this in Nairobi? What kind of trade is this? Let me tell you the truth. If there’s a place he has thrown money, it’s here. It would have been better if we opened something else like a butchery to sell cows. We know the matatu business.

“Do you think he can be a matatu person? To start milking cows like that would be better. I always speak the truth. Even if he were here, I would have said it. My boy has thrown money here, let’s just tell the truth. If I were him, I would have sold to the right person,” he said.

However, Abel hinted at a potential solution to the perceived oversight, suggesting that including his picture from top to bottom inside the matatu would guarantee its success.

“But there’s one secret to beauty. He has a silver bullet, so all is not lost. If he puts my picture from top to bottom, this matatu will never stop. It will be rolling over as it goes,” he said.

Njugush & Abel’s Friendship
Despite the playful banter, it’s clear that the bond of friendship between Njugush, Celestine, Abel, and their circle remains unbreakable.

The jovial exchange reflects the camaraderie and humor that define their relationship.
