Gengetone Group Mbuzi Gang Involved in a Car Accident

Yesterday, the renowned Gengetone group Mbuzi Gang was involved in a car accident, but thankfully, all members, including musicians Joefes, Ipholish, and Fathermoh, who are signed under the esteemed Black Marker Records, escaped with only minor injuries.

The unfortunate incident occurred as they were returning home from a show. Disappointingly, the concert did not go as planned due to a sound system failure, causing considerable frustration for the Shamra Shamra hitmakers.

This marks the second car accident the group has encountered within a span of one year. Fortunately, in the previous incident, they also managed to escape with minor injuries.

However, to the surprise of their fans, tensions arose within the group as they began placing blame on one another for the accident. Joefess took to his Instagram stories to express his frustration, cursing Fathermoh and holding him responsible for the damage to their car, which had been purchased just four months prior.

Mbuzi Gang’s journey began back in 2012 when Joefes and iPhoolish first met at a high school ‘funkie’ event. Their immediate connection sparked a lasting friendship that led them to enroll at the same university. In 2019, Fathermoh joined the group after connecting with Joefes while reaching out to various artists in search of a breakthrough.

Their songs, particularly “Wagithomo” and “Shamra Shamra” featuring Mejja, played a significant role in propelling Mbuzi Gang into the spotlight.

Setting themselves apart from their Gengetone peers, Mbuzi Gang has gained distinction by incorporating less explicit content in their lyrics and music videos, showcasing their unique approach to the genre.
