Carrol Sonie has openly shared the internal challenges she has grappled with while raising her daughter, Keila, who bears a resemblance to her estranged father, Mulamwah.
During an interactive Q&A session on her YouTube channel, Sonie was questioned about the primary difficulties she has encountered in parenting Keila. She emphasized that she has never collaborated with anyone, specifically singling out Mulamwah, in the upbringing of Keila. According to Sonie, the sole individuals contributing to Keila’s upbringing are her own parents.
Sonie touched upon the poignant realization that her daughter’s face mirrors that of Mulamwah, who rejected Keila as his child. Despite the emotional turmoil this similarity brings, Sonie conveyed a message of resilience to her fans, especially mothers facing similar challenges, urging them to summon courage and press forward regardless.
In addition, Sonie confirmed that she has entered a new relationship and has moved on with her life, distancing herself from the online events that unfolded in the aftermath of her separation from Mulamwah. She acknowledged that the world would pause when she introduced her new partner but clarified that Mulamwah played no role in their daughter’s life, having already rejected her.
Sonie disclosed that she took the step of removing Mulamwah’s name from Keila’s birth certificate, replacing it with new names to ensure that Mulamwah has no influence on her daughter’s life. “None of my daughter’s names are English; she is called Keila Khoe Wangui Muthoni.
