Eric Omondi Builds Bridge In Kisii After Viral Video Of Little Girl Crossing It

Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has successfully completed the construction of the widely-discussed Kisii bridge. The bridge gained significant attention following the circulation of a viral video featuring a young girl navigating the perilous structure on her way to school, sparking considerable public discourse.

Taking to social media, Eric proudly announced the completion of the bridge, now officially named the “Baby Kemunto Bridge.” He assured residents, especially school children, that the bridge is now safe for use.

“Kemunto Bridge is now finished. This young girl has transformed an entire community and emerged as a hero. Beyond its historical significance, this bridge holds profound symbolism. It signifies the resilience of a people, emphasizing the power of unity! We are bridging not just physical gaps but also the socio-economic disparities between the rich and the poor. We are overcoming the divides created by political and tribal differences. As a team, ‘sisi kwa sisi’ (us for us), nothing is insurmountable! Together, every goal is achievable!”

Following the widespread circulation of the video depicting baby Kemunto navigating the hazardous bridge, Eric Omondi appealed to his fans for contributions towards the construction of a new bridge. Through an official statement on his Instagram page, the comedian urged Kenyans to provide financial assistance to improve the worn-out bridge, transforming it into a safer and sturdier structure.

He cautioned that the existing bridge was on the verge of collapsing, posing a potential tragedy. Omondi clarified that despite community efforts to repair the structure, the makeshift solutions were insufficient to ensure the safety of those crossing.
