Controversial pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism has once again ignited a public debate through a viral video showcasing an incident where he awakened a woman found napping during one of his church services.
In the footage, Pastor Ng’ang’a addresses the slumbering congregant, inquiring about her origin, and directs her to temporarily exit the service to “take a breather.”
“Where are you from? Wake up and take your belongings. Leave and stay outside; you can come back later,” he exclaims. With a touch of humor, Ng’ang’a proposes a remedy for her drowsiness, suggesting that she “go out and be rained on, let the rain cool you down.”
The pastor also cautions attendees against sitting next to someone nodding off, declaring that he will remove both individuals if he discovers someone sleeping in proximity to another.
“If I find someone sleeping close to you, I will remove both of you,” he asserts.
This incident marks not the first occasion Pastor Ng’ang’a has found himself embroiled in controversial circumstances.
In a separate video, he directs an usher to empty the tithe collection, expressing disappointment that most contributions were in smaller denominations.
Ng’ang’a has also imposed a six-month deadline on unmarried individuals to tie the knot.
“For those who have not married or been married, I am giving you a six-month ultimatum. If not, why should your spouse be snatched away? Do not talk to me about ‘mpango wa kando’; put an end to this nonsense.”
