ODM Party leader, Raila Odinga caused massive drama and traffic delays after he landed his chopper in the middle of a busy highway on Saturday.
Traffic Marshalls had to stop vehicles from both side to allow the white and green colored chopper.
Also, another chopper landed few meters away from the highway to pick up the former Prime Minister.
Odinga had to end his tour prematurely in Nyandarua where he had gone to woo in more supporters from the region.
He however addressed a crowd where he said tat his Ksh 6,000 stipends to poor families will work only when he becomes president.
“My opponents say it is an empty promise meant to hoodwink Kenyans to back my candidature, I want to tell you this is a debt that I will fulfill if elected.”
“When Kibaki and I promised free primary education in 2002, there were many skeptics, but when we formed the government, we delivered the promise,” he stated.
“Do you want to push wheelbarrows after school?” he questioned.
In attendance were Mt Kenya leaders who have endorsed Raila as their preffered presidential candidate.
Among them were Nakuru Governor, Lee Kinyanjui, Kiambu Governor, James Nyoro and Laikipia County Governor, Ndiritu Muriithi.
