Details emerging indicate that Deputy President William Ruto will be touring Murang’a Town on Sunday, February 6.
The rally which will be held to purposely announce Kang’ata’s bid for the county’s Gubernatorial seat is seen as a counter to ODM’s rally which was held last Saturday in the same county.
Meanwhile, Ruto’s allied leaders led by Mathira MP, Rigathi Gachagua and Ndindi Nyoro have told the president to be ready to answer questions ahead of his planned Mt Kenya tour on Thursday.
The leaders who were speaking in Kirinyaga said that Uhuru should make clear how he intends to make Odinga the president.
“Mr. President, I want to say this, we were with you in 2002. We were with William Ruto and Musalia Mudavadi. We tried all ways but it could not work.”
“How do you intend to force Raila on the people of Kenya. If it could not work 20 years ago, just how do you intend to go about it?”“I don’t understand,” Gachagua observed.
His remarks were seconded by Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro who stated that Kenyatta should be ready to answer why he has neglected his people after elections.
