Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Seizes Ksh 435K Bhang In Bean Sacks In Moyale

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) acted swiftly on Monday following a tip-off from the public in Moyale, leading to the seizure of narcotic drugs concealed in four bean sacks.

As per the DCI report dated X, law enforcement officers were alerted to a “suspicious individual with four sacks of beans” at the Liban bus booking office, prompting an immediate police intervention.

Upon arrival, it was found that the sacks had been left unattended at the entrance of the booking office, with the purported owner absent, reportedly seeking authorization papers from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) office.

Utilizing a sniffer dog, the officers identified a suspicious item within the sacks.

Subsequently, the sacks were transported to the DCI Moyale offices, where they were opened, revealing 22 bales of cannabis sativa with an estimated street value of Kes 435,000. The seized consignment is presently held under lawful custody as evidence.
