During a speech in Nyeri County, alongside Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Catherine Waruguru urged Ndindi Nyoro to temper his political ambitions and defer to his elders for guidance. She emphasized the historical presence of the Mount Kenya region predating Ndindi Nyoro and urged him to exercise patience and respect for senior leaders. Waruguru cautioned against being manipulated and advised Nyoro to prioritize building a strong foundation at home.

Notably, His Excellency President William Samoei Arap Ruto views Ndindi Nyoro as a close ally. Speculation suggests that Ruto may be strategically leveraging the young politician from Murang’a to sow seeds of division within the Mount Kenya region.
