“Njeri” Kiambu Woman Fired by Supermarket for Taking Selfie with Celebrity Gets New Job at Prestigious Hotel

A lesson that was intended to humiliate a Kiambu woman who worked in Kimende, Lari sub-county has turned in support of herself and left people believing that when one door closes another one opens.

Everything began on, Saturday, for one Njeri who was going on her duties in one of the supermarkets in Kimende when she recognized a popular comedian distinguished as Babu Edu who visited retailer to purchase something.

Njeri did what any Kenyan would do when they run into their #1 superstar, request a selfie; when Baba Edu, who is also a content creator on YouTube , took the selfie with the young woman, she was dismissed.

No warnings, no clarifications, no nothing! She was just dismissed and told the selfie with the producer had cost her his job.

Surprisingly Njeri was left sorrowful but even much more, Baba Edu felt it was unfair to fire the woman for a simple selfie and he in this way took to his online media platforms to portray the unfairness.

His story caused uproar and many thought that it is unjustifiable that the woman had been terminated. Amidst the shock, others were angry that the woman had been left without a pay.

What’s more, this is when greater and better propositions for employment began streaming in, and which began as a humiliating second for Njeri ended up being a surprisingly good turn of events.

The most astonishing part is that she began her new position yesterday, Wednesday, October 6, and not long from now, the hotel has a party to honor Njeri

“Thanking you all for the support you gave this young lady, she’s so happy and safe. May the good Lord bless you all. Welcome this Sunday for free at Rock Beach Hotel as we welcome her,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
