Kipchumba Murkomen Spotted Wearing Philipp Plein Sneakers Worth Over KSh 80k

Kipchumba Murkomen, the Transport Cabinet Secretary, has been attracting attention with his extravagant lifestyle ever since he assumed a government position. His most recent display of wealth comes in the form of designer sneakers, which carry a hefty price tag.

Murkomen’s affinity for luxury fashion first made headlines earlier this year when he was seen sporting an expensive timepiece. On February 2nd, the CS welcomed Silvio Albuquerque, the Brazilian ambassador to Kenya, at his office. Photographs from the meeting revealed Murkomen seated in a studded chair, dressed in a blue suit. Observant Kenyans couldn’t help but notice the politician’s wrist adorned with a Hublot Classic Fusion Ceramic King Gold watch.

The Hublot timepiece, according to the manufacturer’s website, begins at just over a million shillings, with prices increasing based on size. The most expensive watch in the series, measuring 45 millimeters, costs approximately KSh 1.6 million. Murkomen’s watch boasts water resistance up to depths of 50 meters and features a self-winding mechanism with a 42-hour power reserve.

Shortly thereafter, Murkomen faced backlash on Twitter for proudly boasting about attending a football match in England. The politician shared numerous photos of himself enjoying the Europa League match from the VIP section at Old Trafford. A single VIP ticket for the game carried a price tag of over KSh 100,000. Some Kenyans criticized Murkomen, advising him to refrain from posting such pictures as they created a misleading perception, even if he had personally paid for the experience.

However, it appears that the criticism had little impact on Murkomen’s choices, as he has now been spotted donning Philipp Plein sneakers. Instagram images showcased the politician casually scrolling through his phone, wearing black trousers, a cap, and these expensive sneakers. The white version of the sneakers, known as the “phantom kicks,” costs KSh 84,000, while the black version is priced at KSh 96,000. On average, Murkomen has spent over KSh 80,000 for these German-made shoes.

Murkomen’s opulent lifestyle has been the subject of public scrutiny, with many questioning the source of his wealth and the appropriateness of his extravagant expenditures. As he continues to enjoy the trappings of luxury, his expensive fashion choices serve as a constant reminder of his financial prowess.
