“BBI is more important than the Constitution”- Atwoli Maintains That BBI Is Key To Ensure Coexistence.

Trade Unionist, Francis Atwoli has thrown a jibe at BBI opposers who are pushing for the constitutional amendments after the 2022 General Elections.

Atwoli said that the constitution is vital in running the country but there are things that should be checked and amended.

“So when I hear stupid politicians, and I can call them stupid, say elections cannot be postponed, they are people who do not know what they are talking about,” Atwoli remarked.

The COTU boss maintained that a constitutional amendment must be held before the general elections.

“I hear politicians say elections cannot be postponed, they are people who do not know what they are talking about. Say, for example, we went for elections and there are people fighting what would we have gained as a country?”
