Digital creator Faustine Lipuku, widely known as Baba Talisha, has publicly stated that he has forgiven Brian Chira’s grandmother after being accused of mishandling Ksh 8 million in burial funds.
During a Q&A session with his fans on Instagram, one follower asked Baba Talisha if he had forgiven Chira’s grandmother and others who had dragged his name through the controversy.
In response, Baba Talisha emphasized that he is focusing on his mental health and has moved on from the situation, choosing to forgive and forget.
“I’ve moved on with my life. I helped where I could and did what I could. I don’t hold grudges in my heart, and that helps me a lot mentally. I forgive and forget. Things happen for a reason. The only thing you need to do is stay still and pray. God will always take charge and control everything,” he said.
The dispute between Baba Talisha and Brian Chira’s grandmother arose over the Ksh 8 million that had been contributed for Chira’s funeral.
The conflict began when TikToker Obidan went live, calling Chira’s grandmother to address rumors about the use of the money raised. She claimed that she had not received the full amount collected during her grandson’s funeral, accusing Baba Talisha and his alleged wife, Brenda Wanjiku, of controlling the funds.
In response to these accusations, Baba Talisha went live to deny the allegations and clear his name. He expressed his pain at being turned against after stepping up to help someone in need, but he insisted he would not regret his act of kindness. However, he did threaten to sue Chira’s grandmother for defamation.
A few days later, Chira’s grandmother released a message directed at Baba Talisha. In a video shared online, she expressed her frustration, saying she was tired of Baba Talisha claiming to know so much about her family.
